CTSB supports our Small Business Units (individuals who run their own little businesses from CTSB’s premises) with food parcels over the festive seasons, Easter and Christmas.
CTSB’s volunteers and social workers work throughout the year in our poorer communities, creating awareness with regard to eye care. CTSB provides support and education to Blind and Visually Impaired Persons within these communities.
Volunteers and social Workers from CTSB visit local hospitals assisting the Blind and Visually Impaired with adjusting to new lifestyles that includes the loss of sight. Our Mobility Professional assists in helping them to attain their independence once again.

CTSB’s School Awareness Programme is designed to capture the attention of school goers from Grade 1 to Grade 7 and a further Awareness Programme for Grades 8 to Grade 12. We encourage schools to visit with us on site in order to ensure they have a deeper understanding of blindness or visual impairment. However, we do have the facility to offer the programme at school.
